Maho Maeda
Estudió la licenciatura y la maestría en Kyoto City University of Arts, Japón. Posteriormente estudió en el Royal College of Art en Londres, Inglaterra y en la academia de arte de Düssedorf, Alemania. Actualmente trabaja y vive en la ciudad de México. Maho Maeda continua de manera magistral la tradición pictórica japonesa basada en el tema de la naturaleza, las plantas y las flores. Su obra es un universo de tiempos y espacios matéricos que van del expresionismo abstracto y la pintura gestual al grabado en madera y la tinta china japonesa. Su obra ha sido adquirida en Alemania, Japón y México.
He received his BFA and MFA from Kyoto City University of Arts, Japan. He later studied at the Royal College of Art in London, England and at the art academy in Düssedorf, Germany. Currently working and living in Mexico City, Maho Maeda masterfully continues the Japanese pictorial tradition based on the theme of nature, plants, and flowers. His work is a universe of material times and spaces ranging from abstract expressionism and gestural painting to wood engraving and Japanese Chinese ink. His work has been acquired in Germany, Japan, and Mexico.
